This workshop focuses on strategies for keeping the energy high, leading conversations in the direction of justice and being “hard on the issue, soft on the person.” This workshop offers additional skills for facilitating cross-cultural conversations between people of different racial/ethnic backgrounds.
Documentary Screening & Discussion

Watch the 30 minute film Dance Like Everybody's Watching, which exposes the lives of three Black dancers in Victoria, BC. Then lean into a facilitated discussion about racism, diversity, inclusion, cultural appropriation and creating safer spaces. Workshops can occur online or in person.
Gender 101
All Ages
Learn the basics! Explore the differences between gender, sex and gender expression. This workshop is a great starting place for people of all ages to talk about the ways constructions of gender shape our everyday lives. Participants walk out of this session having a better understanding of themselves, and others and have the opportunity to ask questions that build towards creating more inclusive spaces.
